CV

After my school years, I completed my apprenticeship as a draughtsman in the field of civil engineering. Then I worked in the fields of tunnel construction, civil engineering and railway construction. The next step was absolving for two years the professional baccalaureate in Zurich with a focus on design. Then I studied Arabic for five months at the ili-international language institute in Cairo, Egypt. Back in Switzerland, I completed an internship in architecture. After this I decided to study design and applied at Zurich University of the Arts for the course Trends & Identity. So I am currently still studying. We learn to critically analyse social developments and create on this base concepts, products, stagings and actions. We acquire conceptual competence and broad creative knowledge.

"TANTUM"

For our TANTUM jewellery collection, we give shine to the food that gets sorted out due to lack of perfection and thus is not used. Every element grown in nature is unique and does not meet any standards defined by man. Nonetheless, the food industry has established such standards, which apply in particular to vegetables and fruit. The definition of this standard means that, taken as a whole and globally, up to 50% of all food is lost along the value chain between production and consumption. In the case of vegetable products, up to 50% of the original product quantities are not consumed by humans or animals, but are disposed of without having been used. By using pieces of food, which do not comply with the industry standards, we draw public attention to this deplorable state of affairs. The TANTUM collection is inspired by Zurich vegetables, hand- and Swiss made.

"Genusslinie Zürich West"

In the future, the Tram 2000 will be phased out as an everyday vehicle and the oldtimer trams (sushi and fonduetram) will slowly be withdrawn from circulation. With this in mind, the VBZ, together with the Style & Design study, is looking for new design concepts for the Tram 2000. An overall design concept for the future Gastrotram 2000 is to be developed and transformed into the corresponding visual form.

The green quality of life is very valuable and it is our responsibility to maintain, entertain and create it. With this project I wanted to set an example for the future and point out the preservation of a healthy balance between green and grey areas in the Quartier Zürich West. My concept does not want to get out of the city and back into nature. My concept wants to bring nature back to us right in the city. The tram is planted outside as well as inside. Outside it is overgrown with moss. Inside the tram there are local plants, edible plants that grow on the roadside or between the tram tracks. It is important that the plants are an integral part of the menu. The plants keep their rebellious street plants character, and also grow in the tram between niches and crevices. The staging of the selected plant species gives guests a new perspective on the diversity of rebellious plants in Zurich.

"Schirka El Creativo"

Schirka El Creativo was founded in 2012 by us, Christoph Ibrahim and Davide Wouda. Composed, like us, from the Arabic and Italian it means company of creativity. With painting, drawing, spraying, collage and many other techniques we play with portraits of famous people who were and are formative for mankind. So we also want to shape our time and create contemporary witnesses with our pictures. The collages in our pictures are typical objects for our time and our environment. They are supposed to visualize our everyday life through the waste that falls into our hands every day when we pay attention to it. For us, painting printed material represents today‘s interplay between manual craftsmanship and digitally produced goods. Working on a picture in pairs requires the ability to create together. To accept the transience of one‘s own creation, to respect the work of one‘s counterpart and to allow chaos. Through the many details, the viewer is invited on a journey through and over the picture. Each look brings a new discovery and thus a different aspect of the work. Individuality and identity are central points of our society and thus also of our portraits. Colourful, cheerful and sometimes gloomy, they convey an individually readable mood. The pictures contain messages - messages from us to you. They are deliberately left open for free interpretation and thus allow each viewer their own access.
