Design Student, Freelancer Events and Exhibition
Rebecca was born and raised in Zurich. After successfully completing an apprenticeship as an optician in Zurich, she decided to follow her enthusiasm for crafts and design. After the vocational training she started her design Education with a design and artistic focused pre university course. There she got in contact with different techniques and materials to work with and express herself in a creative way.
In 2016 she applied at the Zurich Universtity of Arts for the course Trends & Identity in the field of Design. At Trends & Identity the students research about lifestyles and thing cultures, analyse fashion, hypes and styles and take a critical, sensual and forward-looking stance on social change through design. Research in cultural studies complements and deepens the perspectives of design. This course of study allows the students to follow their own interests and operate the Keylearnings of the curriculum on personal topics.
The main topics in Rebeccas works are mostly focused on daily habits and how to re-experience them. From small design objects up to big installations, you get the chance to rethink and flee your convenience behavior and look at it from a different perspective.
