Meriem Berrada is Head of Cultural Projects at Fondation Alliances, where she designs and implements a range of artistic programmes. Prior to joining Fondation Alliances in 2012, she served as contemporary art director at Compagnie Marocaine des Oeuvres et Objets d’Art (CMOOA), and was also a part of the Marrakech Art Fair team. At Fondation Alliances, Meriem devised and set up, La Chambre Claire in 2013 and the Passerelles programme, a cross-sponsorship initiative that coordinates the cultural and social poles of Fondation Alliances through workshops designed to raise awareness of contemporary creation in peripheral urban areas. In 2016, she piloted the Museum of African Contemporary Art Al Maaden (MACAAL) development in Marrakech. In 2017, Meriem led the Limiditi-Temporary Art Projects fundraising, which brought together three generations of Moroccan artists to make viable the association’s artist residency. The same year, Meriem joined the Roberto Cimetta Fund evaluation committee as visual art expert.
